Hello Kitty Con.

Hello Kitty Con was to celebrate her 40th anniversary it was the first to ever happen. The convention was held in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. Little Tokyo was overcome with  25,000 fans, David Marchi, senior director of brand management and marketing at Sanrio said they been wanting to do this for awhile and Hello Kittys 40th anniversary gave them this opportunity. the Hello Kitty Convention took several years to plan and execute. People came from all over to reminiscing their childhood of Hello Kitty. The Hello Kitty Convention was 2 stores and the lines were around 2-4 hours long, there was a lot to see and do. The supermarket section was the most crowd part, from shops like Sephora, Beats by Dre, Dylan’s Candy Bar, Loungefly, Spam, and more shops selling their Hello Kitty wares. They had a few activitys for the kids too like art sections, where they teach you to draw and make scrapbooks.  You could buy 3D printed figurines, custom made T-shirts, scrapbook kits, golf sets, hoodies with Hello Kitty ears. They had custom Hello Kitty tattoos that you could get and a section for the vintage hello Kitty products. The convention was a success and most places sold out before the four days were even over. Everything at the Convention were "exclusive"  for the event, from t-shirts and penny's made into Hello Kitty stamps, you can go online and get these "exclusive" iteams but they cost three times more, then they did there.

This coin purse was displayed at the convention in a glass case, treated like royalty but to us Hello Kitty fanatics it is. This is the first Hello Kitty product from 1975.

Hello Kitty favorite quote to say "You Can Never Have To Many Friends" was also displayed right outside of the convention. Hello Kitty is right and super cute we cant deny. I hope everyone had a amazing time at this Kawaii event.
