Hina Matsuri, Hello Kitty cakes
So for the Japanese holiday Hina Matsuri they asked a Japanese pastry company "Mon Cher" to make them a Hello Kitty cake. Hina Matsuri is a Japanese holiday in which dolls in traditional Heian period dress are displayed. It is also a time when Japanese families pray for the health and happiness of their daughters. Hina Matsuri is celebrated on March 3, although the doll displays usually begin going up at the end of February. In celebration of this holiday they have a special line of Hello Kitty cakes available through March 1st-3rd. One of the cake features Hello Kitty and My Meldoy.
